Sarawak Research and Development Council launches grant call focusing on hydrogen production, storage

Sarawak Research and Development Council (SRDC) has launched a thematic grant call aimed at advancing research and development in renewable energy, with a special focus on hydrogen production and storage.

Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said this is one of the ways to address the key challenge of reducing the cost of production in hydrogen economy as Sarawak advances to become a leader in renewable energy innovation and its contribution to global sustainability goals. SRDC plays a pivotal role in fostering research collaboration, facilitating funding and promoting partnerships to ensure that research initiatives align with Sarawak's development priorities.
