Our researchers conducted a fieldwork with Dr. Yukako Monda from Kyoto University from 25–27 February 2026 at Loagan Bunut National Park. This visit is part of an ongoing research collaboration investigating hollow formation and growth characteristics of trees in peat swamp forests.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Sarawak Forestry Corporation for their guidance and continuous support throughout the field activities.

While in Miri, Dr. Monda also visited our laboratories at the Sarawak Biovalley Pilot Plant.

The fieldwork has enabled great discussions and valuable field observations, and further strengthened our collaboration.
